CNC Operator and CNC Programmer Training

We are specialized in the CNC area and applications support. Our headquarters are located in Aberdeen, but we reach the whole territory of the United Kingdom and also Europe. We offer comprehensive solutions which will help you to start the production, whether it would be the training, components configuration, best practices, the use of programming services – we have an experience in the provision of relevant solutions.

MGC Technical Services Ltd offers both CNC Programmer Training and Operator training. The training is held at the customer facility or in our company headquarters, in order to minimize the interferences. All our trainings may be customized according to your needs.

Our target is to be 30% classroom, 70% on a CNC control. We believe that the best method of training in CNC Programming is the practical training. If you do not have the machines available, we can arrange Fanuc and Siemens simulators.

All of our training include:

  • The Health and Safety and best practices
  • Training manuals which you can leave for yourself

Please note – for any training participant

  • The possibility of training with the own components
  • Training Certificate
  • Training Support
  • Company gadget.

CNC Operator

CNC is used in metals, wood and plastics fabrication. Earn your CNC Machining Certificate and learn skills that are directly applicable in the operation of computer-controlled machines performing one or more machine functions on metal or plastic work pieces. Become familiar with CNC programming using G codes and conversational programming.

Upon successful completion, you will be able to:

  • List the steps to set up and operate a CNC Lathe or CNC mill.
  • Identify the location and purpose of the operating controls on the Fanuc ; Siemens or Mazatrol CNC Turn or CNC Mill control
  • Start and home a CNC machine
  • Load tools into tool carousel
  • Set Tool Length Offsets
  • Set Fixture Offsets
  • Load a CNC program into the machine control
  • Safely run a new CNC program
  • Adjust offsets to account for tool wear and deflection
  • Shut down a CNC machine correctly
